A direct link between Campo and Maggengo Frasnino.
2016 saw the launch of the footbridge initiative, a daring Tibetan bridge linking Campo with the Frasnino mountain range, modelled on other successful projects in Switzerland and Austria.
From the Tibetan bridge, one can admire the spectacular scenery of our beloved mountains, the Campo saddle, the imposing peaks and glaciers of the Rhaetian Alps, the green Orobic valley, the Colombera dam, the fairytale Frasnino Maggengo and the opening of the Valtellina valley floor culminating in Lake Como for unforgettable sunsets.
The consortium members, valley dwellers and other dear friends all united by their love for the mountains, with their own resources, made possible the construction of this great work that will help the small but beautiful alpine valley of Valtellina not to remain abandoned to itself. The economic and human effort to support its construction was met with the spirit proper to the ancient consortia, the joining of the forces of many people for a valid shared common purpose.
